The Taste of Terroir comparative experience offers an in-depth look at our single-vineyard Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. During this elevated seated tasting, you will be able to explore the differences in taste and nuance that each vineyard brings to the bottle.

How much is the fee for a comparative experience?
Comparative tasting fees for guests are $75 per person. Members may apply their discount to the cost of this experience.
A $25 deposit is required at the time of booking and will be refunded upon your arrival at the winery.
One tasting is waived with the purchase of 4 bottles.
Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are required for our comparative experience. You can make a reservation online or call/email our concierge at (805) 489-0446, hospitality@talleyvineyards.com.
What is the difference between a comparative tasting experience and the Estate tasting?
During a comparative tasting you will explore our small batch, single-vineyard Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. As you compare the differences and nuances of each of the bottlings, you will also get familiar with the vineyards from which they hail and our winemaking process. This tasting experience typically lasts 90-120 minutes and includes a flight of 6-8 wines and a charcuterie platter.
In contrast, the Estate Tasting allows you to sample an array of new releases and varietals. This seated tasting will give you a great survey of our wines and the appointment typically lasts 60-90 minutes and includes a flight of 4-6 wines.
What are your hours of operation?
The tasting room is open daily from 11:00am - 5:00pm. Our last comparative experience of the day begins at 1:30pm. Reservations can be made online or by calling/emailing our concierge at (805) 489-0446, hospitality@talleyvineyards.com.
We are bringing a designated driver, do they have to pay a tasting fee?
Thanks for drinking responsibly. Designated drivers may join your party free of charge. Please include your driver in the reservation count so we can save a spot for them at the table.
Can I bring my children?
The comparative experience is reserved for guests 21 years of age and older. Children are welcome to join parents at an Estate Tasting in our family-friendly section.
Can I bring a picnic to enjoy during a comparative tasting?
Outside food and alcohol are not permitted. This experience includes a charcuterie platter and additional platters can be purchased at your table.
I’m running late for my tasting reservation, what should I do?
We will do our best to hold your reservation if you are running late. Please contact us to let us know your new arrival time by calling or emailing our concierge at (805) 489-0446, hospitality@talleyvineyards.com.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your reservation can be canceled up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Deposits are non-refundable if canceled with less than 24 hours' notice.
