Approachable Central Coast Wines by Talley Vineyards

Started by Brian and Johnine Talley in 1999 as a way to offer quality wine at an affordable price point. Bishop’s Peak is an ancient volcano that towers over San Luis Obispo, and is visible in much of the Southern SLO Coast. It’s free to climb, open to all, and on any given day you’ll find groups celebrating at the summit (a fair amount of them with a bottle of wine). That’s exactly what we want this wine to feel like — something to share, carry with you, and enjoy.

Bishop’s Peak reflects our commitment to thoughtful winemaking and to sharing Central Coast wine that fits seamlessly into everyday moments and larger celebrations alike.

Crafted with Talley Vineyards Standards

Bishop’s Peak wines are produced using a combination of declassified Talley Vineyards fruit and grapes sourced from trusted local growers along California’s Central Coast. All wines are made at Talley Vineyards, using many of the same techniques applied to our estate-grown wines.

The result is a lineup that delivers consistency, quality, and varietal clarity, making Bishop’s Peak a reliable choice for wine programs, events, and everyday enjoyment.

The New Look

Ideal Wines for Weddings, Events & Banquets

A Needed Refresh

Until recently the future of the brand was in question. While the wine has always been very popular for the quality and the price point, people weren’t crazy about the package. When the opportunity came to take this brand on and carry it forward, we saw what it had always been — an affordable, handcrafted wine made with the same integrity as Talley Vineyards, for everyone who deserves a great bottle. So we got to work. New logo. New label. Same wine, same values, same hands.

Expressive of What’s Inside

Hand drawn by Mariah on her daughters’ coloring table, and based off of one of Elizabeth’s photos, the new label highlights the uniqueness of Bishop’s Peak. Elizabeth and Emma can both see Bishop’s Peak from their houses. The mountain changes color throughout the year and even throughout the day. This new look is meant to be eye catching and a fun expression of the wines.

Made for Everyone

Bishop’s Peak wines are a natural fit for weddings, banquets, and large-scale events, offering approachability without sacrificing quality. With balanced profiles and broad appeal, these wines complement a wide range of menus and settings, from rehearsal dinners to wedding receptions and corporate gatherings.

For trade partners and event planners, Bishop’s Peak provides dependable Central Coast wines that elevate the guest experience while remaining accessible and consistent across volume.

For couples and hosts, these are wines guests recognize and enjoy.
